The joint initiative of the Lavasa Corporation and Bombay Times, Lavasa Women’s Drive (LWD) will be organised soon in Mumbai. The motive of this Drive is to reach out to women from all backgrounds and from various walks of life and teach them the true drive hidden in every woman, along with the ideals of womanhood. This event has been ideated from last three years by Convergence Events and Promotion and Times Red cell. This drive will cover a distance from Mumbai to Pune and will be held on 27th February 2011. Unlike last year, this year the drive after covering a distance till Pune, will then move to Lavasa. The organisers are planning to include 503 cars from all across India including Kolkata, New Delhi, Chennai, Goa, Nagpur, Mumbai, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

With two women participants in each car, there will be a total of 2011 participants in this drive, representing the current year. These participants are going to have a real good time because of the various fun filled activities that will take place during the drive while they will also be taught about the awareness of cancer in women.  As far as the safety measurements are concerned, Western India Automobile Association won’t give any chance to complain about the on-road coordination, judging process and technical aspects. Both the partners seems to be really happy the way things are taking place. The President, Lavasa Corporation, Mr. Rajgopal Nogja seems to be really excited as he said that “this is the third year of Lavasa Women’s Drive and we are planning to make it real big this time. We already have added a new flag point in Pune. We will try to offer a fun filled, adventurous yet knowledgeable journey in the name of Lavasa Women’s Drive”.
