French car manufacturer, Renault, which introduced its inaugural compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Duster in the domestic market is now making plans to export the car to different worldwide market zones from its Oragadam based plant. This selective info has been revealed to media people by Renault India’s Managing Director, Marc Nassif.
Marc Nassif came to India to take part in the 3 day meeting “Auto Serve”, which was organized by CII.
Marc Nassif stated, “We will begin exports of Duster. The primary batch will commence shortly to the UK…”
Renault will become the third car manufacturer accompanying M&M and Tata to sell SUV to abroad markets.
Marc further stated, “Internationally whatever the company wishes, it will arrive from Chennai” that entails the all the abroad markets will obtain the India prepared vehicle.
While elucidating that the vehicle to export from the domestic market will be diverse from what Indians boast, he further said.
He added, “Our main concern is Indian market. Products we are sending abroad will be a different one. The product what we will be selling in the UK market will be a different one. It will totally be different (to the UK market), but it will be marketed as Duster brand.”
When the media questioned Marc Nassif regarding the benefits of exporting the made in India cars, he replied, “It is noticeably scaling the procedures. It is in fact a huge action for us. It aids us when you share the cake with your marketers. It is simpler also to have more stationary action on our plans”.
He also stated that Renault is also proposing to export the vehicle to other zones as well comprising South Africa, Western Africa, Malaysia and Singapore, which will begin gradually.
