Mahindra Scorpio “facelift” seems the Indian carmaker is in full-frit to bring in the good old ‘Indian wine’ in a brand new bottle. And that’s true as well. We had the ‘first’ spy-shots of Scorpio facelift that was spotted doing test rounds on NH4 in Bengaluru.

However, the disappointment is that, test mule was covered in the heavy clad of camouflage, so the tweaks cannot be witnessed even in broad daylight.

Going by the areas where camouflages are placed, we learnt front and rear fascias are set to face the knife. Alloys may also go for a spin, as seen camouflaged too; while the whole tail gate is going to don the fresh avatar.

It is seen Mahindra hadn’t coveted the tail lamps blissfully, hence lamp cluster is peeping out in that same snoopy nooks, where we expect the carmaker maybe doing something with it at the last moment of launch.

In addition, it was also reported dashboard and seats wearing the camouflages, expectations tend to say they too must be dieting hard for making passengers more comfortable inside. Lest, it would have also their wish to promenade the competitive quotient against the outraging rivals in the times of more modernized vehicles, noise-penetration inside cabin expected to be lesser than the predecessors.

Without even the facelift, Scorpio had proven a best-seller for Mahindra in the repertoire (since selling it for years), it was also sold in better numbers than the promising Renault Duster in recent times.

It would be interesting to see what the officials at Renault are going to do when they would witness these spy-shots. And on the other side of flip, our macho hunks maybe getting ready to stride their awe factors with the Scorpio facelift – their all time favorite SUV, in the near future, expectedly at the upcoming 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.
