After the stunning show of new-gen Scorpio, Mahindra decided to take that same brush and paint those designing cues over the new XUV500 as well. Designed to call as a facelift, but there is a whole new world opened up for it, especially the 31-new features embarked to make the competition beefier than before. Firstly, the XUV500 facelift takes the attention away from the blackened front grille with chrome inserts, new design of bonnet and bumper, L-shaped fog lamps with chrome encircling, and S-shaped daytime running lights in the headlights cluster, makes the most of it at a first stance. Furthermore, the chrome lining on the window adds premium-ness to this vehicle. The new door handles and larger number plate enclosure with chrome applique makes the deal sweetened for eyes.

On a special note, the maker had also instroduced a new top of the line variant called W10.

Moving inside, the beige-black theme is spawned across complimented by the blue lighting. Electric sunroof, adjustable driver’s seat and new navigation system, 7-inch infotainment touch screen, brushed aluminum pedal and lot more occupy the space inside.

However, some resurrections are also carried out from technical viewpoint, but they are scanty in numbers. The retuned suspension and updated ESP system are two such initiatives mentioned on the list. Both of them will offer more confidence around the corners and stability built around the high-speeds.

Hence, in the engine bay, power is fed by a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine that continues to send the same power output of 140PS and 330NM of torque. But the last change on the list is its increased fuel-efficiency, which is notched to 16kmpl from 15.1kmpl earlier.

Hence, the pricing announced of XUV500 facelift are as follows:

XUV500 W4 – Rs 11.21 lakh

XUV500 W6 – Rs 12.48 lakh
