Adding further exuberance to Maruti Suzuki Celerio lovers, the automaker has launched the CNG version of the car – Celerio Green. The Celerio, Maruti’s radical offering in India has been an unparalleled success since its introduction, and now the latest report indicates that Maruti is working on the CNG version. The CNG variant has been launched only in the manual version in VXi trim.

Beneath the hood, the vehicle will come with a 1.0 liter K series petrol engine that’s rated at 58bhp, around 10bhp less unlike the petrol-powered version. It will be propelled by the automaker’s patented iGPI system, which is also found on Ertiga and WagonR models. The engine will be teamed up with a five-speed annual transmission promising a fuel efficiency of 31.79km/kg. The VXi trim gets power windows, a split-folding rear seat, day-night inside rear view mirrors, 14 inch wheels and central locking.
