Maruti Suzuki to start operations in its fourth plant by 2017

Country’s largest automaker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has acquired the land to setup its fourth manufacturing plant in India. With the new plant company is hoping to increase its production capacity by two folds.

According to the reports, company has acquired the land in Gujarat. The new manufacturing unit will be able to add additional 7,50,000 units to the production and will allow the automaker to increase its export to the European and Middle East markets. The plant is scheduled to become operational by 2017.

Maruti with the Maruti Suzuki as its parent company is the largest automaker in India. The company is also looking forward to start working with its third plant in the Gujarat’s Mehsana District. The new production plant is all scheduled to start by the end of 2015. Currently MSIL’s two plants are operational in India which is stationed at Manesar and Gurgaon. Both of these plants have helped the company to comprehend with the rise in demand at the domestic and export markets. But the expansion of the plant suggests that the demand for MSIL vehicle has not only increased in India but also abroad.
