Mercedes C63 AMG S India Launch Expected

The performance had taken the nerve of Mercedes-Benz India, playing all the possible cards to keep its position safe. Reporting a one more car to come to India with AMG badge by Mercedes, it turned out to be the performance version of C-Class which may see the dawn here by third quarter of the year, compelling the onlookers with a price tag of Rs 1.3 crore.

For this huge price, maker has decided to give India the most powerful version of the two engine tunes which it sells in the international market. Dubbed as C63 AMG ‘S’, performance-based C-Class is just another model of the 15-cars lineup for India launch of 2015 from Benz.

Since after the launch, BMW M3 will be confirmed as its immediate competitor. And company opted to import the car as CBU (completely built unit), attracting huge chunk of import duties: the reason for it to be this pricey.

Under the bonnet, C63 AMG S shoot the max power of 503bhp and 700Nm of torque from a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. Whereas, in the international market the C also sees a less powerful trim of it delivering buyers the maximum power of 469bhp and 650Nm of peak torque.

In addition to the said, Mercedes-AMG also had the plan of rolling down the GT ‘S’ by the end of this year. Leaving apart these two, Mercedes’ AMG brand in India currently held on sales floor the models like CLA45 AMG, E63 AMG, SLK55 AMG, GLA45 AMG, ML63 AMG and GL63 AMG in the AMG guise.
