New Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2022 Facelift | All You Need To Know About | Features, Variants & Price

We tell you about all the new features, variants, engine spec & the expected price of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift 2022. The new Baleno gets new LED lamps, alloy wheels, and new bumpers and more. Read on to know all details.

Launched in 2015, the Baleno has been one of the best selling hatchbacks in India. After seven years of a successful run in the market, it indeed deserves some cosmetic and technological updates. Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch the all-new facelifted version of the Baleno next week.

According to leaked images and teasers from the brand itself, it is evident that the Baleno has received noticeable cosmetic upgrades than before. The front fascia of the Baleno gets sleeker and wider headlamps than before. Look closer and you can see that the grille has also been worked upon. The front now houses an all new bumper to accommodate the new design elements. The side profile remains similar to the ongoing Baleno with almost no changes, but the rear end on the other hand gets new L shaped tail lamps, which look quite similar to the Ertiga, just smaller in proportions. The exterior is expected to get newly designed alloy wheels too.

In terms of dimensions, the Baleno continues with the same wheelbase as before, however, it is now shorter and narrower by a small margin.

The Baleno will be powered by the K series, 1.2 L petrol engine. This engine will be offered in two transmission options, a 5-Speed manual & a 5-Speed AMT automatic. The new Baleno is expected to have a slight increase in its fuel efficiency, with the addition of the idle start-stop function.

Where the new Baleno will excel is the long list of new features. Maruti Suzuki had released a short teaser confirming the Baleno will get a Heads Up Display & a 360 degree camera. The Heads Up Display will be offered with multiple customisation options to view vital information. The Baleno will also get an all new 9.0 inch touch infotainment system with SmartPlayPro+ for smartphone connectivity. The infotainment system will be offered with an in-built sim suggesting it will also get its own navigation system too. The Baleno is also expected to come with a wireless mobile charging pad and a flat bottom steering wheel.

The Baleno will be offered in four models and 10 trims. Dealerships have already started accepting bookings and post launch, deliveries will begin by March. The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift 2022 is expected to launch at a price of Rs 6.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom).
