Tata Motors have added another feather to their illustrious cap by producing 1 lakh commercial vehicles. They are the first Indian company to reach this target. Tata Motors President of commercial vehicle business unit, Ravi Pisharody, recently announced that this is not only a proud moment for Tata Motors but also to the Indian public. The world truck which Tata Motors had presented in the local market in the first quarter of this year has got a very good demand and due to it, Tata Motors were able to achieve the target of 1 lakh commercial vehicles so soon. In lieu of this, the company is also thinking of launching two new models of the World Truck soon to the Indian customers.
Tata Motors commercial vehicles have been very much in demand ever since the time the company propelled itself into this business. Moreover advent of new players like Ashok Leyland and Mahindra Navistar have done little but dampened the enthusiasm of customers towards Tata Motors commercial vehicles. This clearly shows that Tata enjoy a monopoly in the Indian market.
