Audi’s association with the time makers has always lent gentle and good-looking examples. The Swiss watchmaker Oris, which has remained official time-keeper for Audi Sports Team at FIA World Endurance Championships (WEC) and also the German Touring Car Championship (DTM) unveiled its latest limited-edition latest chronograph restricted to 2,000 examples only. It comes in a special box and features 44 mm titanium case settled with AR-coated sapphire crystal back – being water resistant upto 100 meters (10 bar).
The movement delved is dubbed as Orix caliber 774 that comes with 25 jewels, 28,800vph and power reserve of 48 hours.
Ensemble in unique silver design, strapped with perforated leather, titanium folding clasp and automatic winding clasp are some of its features.
Last time it was Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg who unveiled limited edition watches in association with IWC that captivated the automotive journalists, now it’s Audi which compelled us to write some of the time-keeping stuffs again.
To brief about Oris, the company was founded in 1904 by Georges Christian and Paul Cattin at Holstein, Basel-Country, and are specialized in producing high-quality mechanical watches only. They are so deliberate about the watches, it is been said Oris watches is accurate to the hundredth of a second.
