SRT Viper is very much famous on race track with some unusual titles being grabbed by hard rubber work on the burning tarmac. It had won five GT titles out of which three are thronged in a row, excluding additional three Le Mans endurance race trophies.
Getting back to future, two 2013 Viper GTS R are all set to run in the 24 hours Le Mans scheduled on June 22 and 23. The SRT representatives were already present in Paris to pounce on to the invitations that were distributed by ACO – official body for sanctioning entry into Le Mans.
Commenting on such a deliberating occasion, Ralph Gilles SRT CEO said, “Historically the Viper GTS-R has enjoyed great success at Le Mans, so we couldn’t be more excited and proud to accept the challenge to return to France and continue composing the next chapter in the history of SRT Viper racing at such an historic venue.”
Added as a reminder, Viper GTS-R is jointly developed by Riley Technologies that features an astonishing rear wing, all new bumpers, revamped hood and an aerodynamic body kit.
