The Geneva Motor Show throws up quite a few surprises and one of them was by Suzuki Motors Corporation. The company showcased their Suzuki Swift S-Concept car. This car looks exactly like the Swift car here in India but the major change lies in the fact that it looks far bigger in bulk than the current Swift.
In Europe, Suzuki has a Swift Sports series and the concept car very much looks like a replacement for the same. The SX4’s 1.6 liter petrol motor finds its way under the hood of this new Swift and it is said to be turbo charged now to give the Volkswagen Golf R variant a proper headache. The transmission is also a 6 speed manual and also a new 5 speed auto. Suzuki have been said not to provide this car with all wheel drive as of yet and it would get the same front wheel drive configuration that it had earlier.
On the looks part, the car now has an integrated radiator and air dam grille and features separate inserts for the fog lamps with chrome lashings. The ORVMs get turn indicators on them whereas the wheels are now a humongous 18 inchers. The rear features a WRC style spoiler and twin tail pipes. Enough to satisfy the enthusiasts amongst us. The worst part is that, this car isn’t coming soon to India unless some one points a bazooka at Suzuki head quarters in Japan and make them realize how much we Indians would love this car.
