Top Selling Sedans In The Month Of September 2021 in India

Top Selling Sedans In The Month Of September 2021 in India

In this video, we rank the best selling sedans of the two segments, the Compact & the Executive Sedans. As we have said before, the month of September always sees a slight dip in sales figures as customers tend to delay their purchases to the months of festivities in October and November. We expect to see an increment in the sales figures in this upcoming week.

We have sorted the Sedans according to their segment and made the video into two segments:

  1. Top Selling Compact Sedans

2. Top Selling Executive Sedans

Let us begin with the Top Selling Compact Sedans

At No.4 We have the Tata Tigor, which sold just 1304 units in the month of September as compared to 1673 units sold in August. The sales for the Tigor have slightly decreased but the ranking remains the same.

We have the Honda Amaze at No.3, The Amaze has not amazed the executives at Honda this month at all as it sold just 2063 units in the month of September and slipped down ranks from 1st position to 3rd position this month.

Up next at Second position is, The Maruti Suzuki Dzire, which consistently secures the second position with 2141 units sold this month, The Dzire manages to secure the position even after 50% dip in sales, as it sold 5714 units in August.

Occupying the podium is the Hyundai Xcent, with 2862 units sold this month. The Xcent has climbed the ranks, as it rises from the 3rd position, with 3094 units sold in August.

Moving to the next segment of Executive Sedans

We have The Volkswagen Vento at 5th position in the leaderboard, with just 161 units sold in the month of September, the Vento also sat in 5th position in August as it had sold 175 units.

With such low sales, the Vento is in dire need of a refreshed look to lure in some buyers.

Up next at 4th position is the Skoda Rapid, which has seen a fall in its sales from August.

The Rapid sold 473 units in the September as compared to the 595 units in the August.

Moving forward we have The Hyundai Verna which continues to be in the 3rd position like August, but has seen a massive decrease in sales, as it sold 879 units this month as compared to the 2098 units sold in August.

Moving up to 2nd position we have the Maruti Suzuki Nexa Ciaz selling 981 units in September as compared to the 2146 units in August.

The Honda City has continued to dominate the segment with securing the 1st position like last month, but the surprising fact here is that with all cars seeing a dip in sales, The City has managed to sell 3348 units this month, even more than August, as it sold 3284 units last month.
