Toyota Etios Cross Launch on May 7, 2014: Bookings Open

Toyota Etios Cross official launch is slated to happen on May 7, 2014. Dealerships had started accepting bookings of the same for Rs 50,000, while before the launch itself the car is uttered to have a waiting period of one month. It is expected that the Etios Cross will be pricier by Rs 60,000 than the standard Liva.

Toyota first unveiled the Etios Cross to public at Delhi Auto expo 2014. Etios Cross in actual is the same Toyota Etios under the skin, wearing the thick black cladding for a more rugged looks. Overall, the aesthetics of Cross is like a crossover drawn from the hatchback, with the trend started from Volkswagen Cross Polo in India, followed by the Toyota, further interested to be taken by Fiat with its upcoming Avventura.

Interiors too will see the changes; while technicalities are reported to remain the same. With the 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre petrols and 1.4-litre diesel motor are doing their duty under the hoods of present Toyota hatchback in India to be carried forward. The power outputs of them are 79bhp, 89bhp and 68bhp (diesel) respectively.

The Etios Cross will be fully loaded on the features front too.  The 2-DIN audio system with aux, Bluetooth and USB compatibility, steering wheel with audio controls, a rear defogger and wiper are there to name depending upon the various trims. ABS and EBD and dual front airbags to comply the safety standards on it.
