Toyota India has large plans for the 2012 Auto Expo – Fortuner and Innova facelift, more information on Etios Racing Series and new Camry. The company started the conference with Fortuner and considers India as one of the most significant markets internationally. The Toyota Fortuner was introduced as 4×2 version and will be offered with AT/4×2 variants. However, there aren’t any upgrades beneath the hood and the sport utility vehicle is still powered by 3.0 liter diesel engine that cranks out 171PS of power with 343 newton meters of torque. The Toyota Fortuner and Toyota Innova are based on similar platform, but the sport utility vehicle may be massed produced in the country and will drastically reduce costs in the future. Check on Road Price

Toyota Innova & Fortuner Facelift Launch at 2012 Auto ExpoWith two-wheel drive Toyota Fortuner, the company has created a new class called Innovative Multipurpose Vehicle (IMV). It comes equipped with touchscreen DVD player with reverse camera, new silver and gold shades for Fortuner as well as Innova, HIDs, back and beige interiors, redesigned taillamp and headlamp cluster and new grilles. The Toyota Innova features a touchscreen DVD player like the found on Toyota Corolla Altis along with rearview mirror mounted blinkers. The Toyota Innova starts at Rs. 9.4 lakhs, while the Fortuner at Rs. 19.99 lakhs.
