Stoner bagged the 2007 MotoGP title with Ducati and passed to top in the 2011 championship with Repsol Honda. One of the main reasons behind his controversial exit from the MotoGP is his unhappiness because of being out of Australia for so long.

Ronald Dane boss of the Triple Eight Racing welcomed Stoner into the team, which is one of the most successful teams in the V8 supercar series.

Speaking on the Stoner’s career transition Dane said that Casey is ultimate professional and whole of the team is looking forward towards working with him in his transition from two wheel sport to four wheels.

The team and the livery will be revealed on the 27th of the February just two days before his debut in the Dunlop V8 series that will be starting in the Australian City Adelaide.
