Said to derive the old school equations in the new wine bottle, Force Motors is famous for making the discontinued Mercedes Benz model available for the commons in present era. Already done with EOV Gurkha recently, now it is the time for Mercedes Benz van Vito to get dwelled in the cladding of Force Motors.

The recent spy shot that we had posted here is of the Merc driven Force Motors upcoming MPV doing test round on Mumbai-Pune Expressway.

However, earned its bread during 1996 to 2003 in many of the markets, it will make way to India by early 2015, said the Mr. Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors to IndianAutosBlog. Earlier the same was scheduled to roll out in 2014, but due to the sluggish market growth it is now postponed further.

Force MPV is the 1996 Mercedes Vito
Already a Benz on the outer crisps, technical specifications maybe drawn by the same 2.2 litre FMTECH diesel engine producing 140PS and a good amount of torque spread across the entire range. Chances are there too that base variants of Force MPV could get a smaller 129 PS 2.2 litre BS3-compliant diesel engine, which with the Pune based carmaker may make the most of it in rural India too.

Mercedes Benz Vito driven Force MPV was said to share the competition with Mahindra Xylo and Toyota Innova, but returning to us back, it will lug 9-11 seating capacity depending upon the trim level. Hence, it is set to get out the other cars of segment with its ‘massive interior space’ which presently did not had any of the competitors here. Well, we hope what the Mahindra/Ssangyong had to say on this, when they had brought their 11 seater Rodius in Mumbai couple of months back!
