Volkswagen is very much famous for its German Engineered cars. Many say that engineering flows from the heart of a vehicle i.e. its engine. A good quality engine always derives the better output. Thanks to the German quality standards, its assurance can be felt not only on the driving but also on the maintenance part. The Inauguration of a new engine processing unit in Silao, Mexico marked the milestone of 100th plant all over the world.

Operations in the production unit have been officially started. Engines from the new facility will be supplied to Volkswagen Puebla and Chattanooga plant.

Adding more to the excitement, Dr. Martin Winterkorn, Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen said, “The Silao factory is the Volkswagen Group’s 100th plant and therefore represents one of the largest and most international production networks in the automotive industry.”

The German carmaker invested $550 million in the Mexico unit.

Already enjoying the success of North America International Auto Show (NAIAS), the carmaker gave auto industry of North America another reason to rejoice. Germans also made an announcement that they will spend more $5 billion in the next three years for transforming themselves from niche car brand to the volume seller.

This came as an add-on for NA car freaks. We hope that VW may soon realize its lacking in Indian market as well. Both of these markets share most of the vibes. For example, we too follow the similar high demand of small cars here. It is also learnt that many of our home based products is being sold successfully in that region.
