Volkswagen to increase prices of its carlines up to 2.5%

Volkswagen, Europe’s leading car manufacturer, announced an increase in the prices of its carlines effective January 1, 2014. These carlines will see an increase in prices upto 2.5 percent.

Commenting on the increase in prices of its carlines, Mr Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, said “We have been faced with constant rise in input cost over the past several months and have tried our best to absorb it. However, in order to maintain our quality standards that our customer expects from us, we have had to increase the price by a small percentage.”

Volkswagen, a leading carmaker in Europe sells its broad model range from the up! to the Phaeton in more than 150 countries worldwide. Volkswagen offers the Polo, Vento, Jetta, Passat, Touareg and the Phaeton in India.
