Check out the Yezdi Adventure 2022. Yezdi is back in India after a stretch of two decades and they have made their entrance, not in a very subtle manner. They make a grand debut with three motorcycle launches all together at once. The new bikes from the brand carry forward the legacy of older Yezdis through its design and aesthetics.
The new Yezdis in town are the Adventure, the Scrambler & the Roadster. It is launched as an off-road touring motorcycle, which will rival the Royal Enfield Himalayan & the BMW GS 310.
The off-roader is powered by liquid-cooled, fuel injected, 343cc single cylinder engine. It produces max power of 30.2 PS at 8,000 rpms & max torque of 29.9 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpms. The engine is mated to a six-speed constant mesh transmission. This engine is tuned for a torquey mid-range for a good off-roading experience while developing greater top end power for high-speed highway cruising.
The Yezdi Adventure 2022 is built as an adventure off-roader motorcycle, which comes well kitted to be a true touring machine. One look at the design and it assures you of its capabilities to provide the comfort & ergonomics while handling the rough terrain it is built for.
The Adventure can be customized with accessories right from the factory floor, so you could enjoy the adventurous traill. The mud guards are placed higher than the Yezdi Scrambler giving you a better water wading experience. Your knuckles are safe with the broad knuckle guards present on the handlebar. The main highlight of the Adventure would be the factory fitted front cage, the chassis holds the cage made out of heavy duty steel, which not only protects the rider & the motorcycle but also acts as an extra space to carry jerry cans with extra fuel.
Another highlight would be the mounting points and hooks available on either side of the motorcycle to haul luggages over long distances, which ideally is the purpose of the machine – mile munching.
The Adventure is architectured on an all-new chassis, suspended on a mono-shock swing arm set-up at the rear and long travel telescopic forks. This setup gives the Adventure an edge over off-road terrain as well as on tarmac. Despite its tall characteristics, it offers nimble handling around the corners, so you could hit an apex or two with the Adventure.
The Adventure gets disc brakes both at front & back, with the icing on the cake being dual channel ABS, engineered by Continental. Riding this off-road touring bike of such proportions without an ABS, would literally translate into, “I’m on a highway to hell”. The ABS comes with three switchable modes- Road, Rain & Off-road for a flexible performance.
While scoring an A+ in the design, safety, adventure friendly accessories, the Adventure also aces its ergonomic feature list. It comes with USB charging & bluetooth connectivity. The selling point of this bike will be it’s integrated on-screen navigation display. The instrument cluster display is also adjustable for better viewing angles, it also displays gear indicator, distance to empty & average fuel consumption.
The Adventure also has its own range of specially curated accessories that can be added on to the machine, to enable the rider to customize it as per their liking. There are options to add knuckle guards, jerry cans with mounting brackets, panniers, top box, fog lamps, crash guards, a headlamp grille – all available as additional accessories.
The Yezdi Adventure is available in three shades of colour and is priced at Rs 2.09 Lakhs for the shade of c, Rs 2.11 Lakhs for Mambo Black & Rs 2.18 Lakhs for the Ranger Camo.
Now considering the market of adventure motorcycles, Yezdi has entered the market aggressively with a bang on pricing. The Himalayan starts at Rs 2.14 lakhs, which makes the Adventure cheaper by Rs 5,000/-. So the question is ‘ Should the Royal Enfield Himalayan be worried?’ Well, it should, because although the Himalayan has a bigger 411cc engine, it is the Adventure that develops higher Horsepower & it is simply not just about the power, it even is 11 kgs lighter, which results in better power to weight ratio along with an easier riding experience.
