2013 Porsche 911 GT3 to drop manual gearbox

Porsche AG makes an everyday car without compromising on power. You can drive to your office everyday, and on weekends, you can go on race track and test your machine. The Porsche GT3 is no less an everyday car with sports instincts. It houses a proper gearbox between the seats, but that was until now.

According to report from InsideLine, Porsche is thinking about dropping the manual gearbox. This in accordance after the success of 911 Carrera and Carrera S, which too were stripped off the manual gearbox.

According to August Achleitner, product chief, the GT3 is on the way, and the motorsports division is testing both, manual and seven-speed dual clutch gearbox.
