Car brands are experimenting with combination of different styled cars into one model. Ssangyong is not far behind in the race. After the showcase of XIV-1 at Frankfurt Motor Show 2011, Ssangyong is ready to showcase its new crossover convertible concept car at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The Ssangyong XIV-1 (eXciting user Interface Vehicle), was a full-blown convertible, with the top folding back into the hump behind the rear seats. While the Ssangyong XIV-2 went a step further, with a sporty sliding canvas roof, similar to the Fiat 500 Cabriolet. The roof can slide open and close by just a touch, a technology we might see in upcoming Ssangyong compact SUV’s.
Powering the crossover convertible is a 1.6 litre diesel and petrol engines. The figures of dimensions of the Ssangyong XIV-2 are available as follows. Length (164 inch), Width(71.6inch), Height(61.7inch) and Wheelbase(102.4inch).
