Trying to cash in the festive season, Chevrolet has launched its Sail U-VA hatchback starting at Rs.4.44 lacs in seven different variants, which includes four petrol and three diesel variants. The new hatchback will be competing directly against the market leader in the segment Maruti Swift and other cars like Hyundai i20, Nissan Micra, Honda Brio, Honda Jazz, Skoda Fabia etc.
The petrol variants will offer a 1.2 litre MPFI engine that will churn out maximum power of about 85bho and max torque of about 113Nm. The Chevrolet diesel version will be powered by a 1.3L Multijet engine that will be generating about 74bhp of power and max 205 Nm of torque. As far as fuel economy is concerned petrol will be offering a decent mileage of about 18.2 kmpl and diesel will be offering a mileage of about 22.10 kmpl (certified by ARAI).
