The Indian division of luxury car maker General Motors (GM) will launch the Chevrolet Spark facelift by the end of October, an intimate source at GM revealed.

General Motors India’s Chevrolet Spark facelift will feature some remarkable interior as well as exterior changes. The most noticeable outside changes include revamped front and rear bumpers, fog lamps, revised boot-lid, and aggressive grille with chrome borders. However the body panels of the new car still looks the same.

When it comes to interior, the new version of the Chevrolet Spark is almost the same as it is now, except a few changes that your will notice in the form of materials used.

The engine of the Chevrolet Spark facelift is the same as it is found in the existing version of the car. Like the existing Chevrolet Spark, the facelift version will also come equipped with 1.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine. The petrol engine, which comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, is capable of producing the maximum power of 63bhp and a peak torque of 90Nm.

GM is also offering the Chevrolet Spark in petrol-LPG dual fuel version. Power steering and air conditioning are the creature comforts offered on the top-end variants of the hatchback. But, the Chevrolet Spark facelift will have to face tough competition from the likes of the Alto 800, which delivers greater fuel efficiency than the Spark.

With all those changes, the Chevrolet Spark facelift is expected to do well during the imminent festive season.
