Hyundai announces price hike for its products in the Indian market

Hyundai has announced a price hike across its entire product range. The new prices will be effective from the 1st of April, 2013.

Speaking on the price hike, vice president of Sales and Marketing, Rakesh Srivastava said that the price rise was necessitated due to OBDC (On Board Diagnostic Compliance) change. He further said that the prices have been increased from Rs. 575 to Rs. 2,830 across the entire range of vehicles. He also added that company has tried to absorb the maximum impact thus has been able to minimize the price hike so as to cause less inconvenience to their esteemed customers.

Price has been increased as per the following:

  • Eon – Increase of up to Rs 2,500
  • Santro – Increase of up to Rs 2,830
  • i10 – Increase of up to Rs 900
  • i20 – Increase of up to Rs 575 for both petrol and diesel variants
  • Verna – Increase of up to Rs 1,340 for both petrol and diesel variants
  • Elantra – Increase of up to Rs 1,740 for both petrol and diesel variants
  • Sonata – Increase of up to Rs 2,813
  • Santa Fe – Increase of up to Rs 2,813
