Hyundai Elite i20 was the last promise that Hyundai could made to India for continuing its legacy in the top-position, except nothing new till ix25 compact SUV, whose launch is still on a dwindling note for Indian market.
Hyundai Elite i20 launched to Indians in guises of petrol and diesel both. The 1.2L Kappa2 is for the petrol buyers while for the diesel it is the 1.4L U2 CRDi motor. Both the machines come equipped with a five-speed manual gearbox. The Elite i20 is made available in four trims Asta, Sportz, Magna and Era. For the Sportz buyers there is also an optional package termed as Sportz (O).
Buyers of Era trim are entitled to get features like body-colored front bumpers and at rear there lay a two tone bumper. Electric power steering, two-tone interior, day-night rearview mirror and a 12V power socket are some of the other features.
The elite i20 Magna, it holds all the features of Era, plus it also had things like body colored ORVMs and door handles, foldable key, parcel tray, armrest at front, 2-DIN music system with Bluetooth connectivity and 1GB support, steering with mounted controls, power windows and AC vents for rear, electronically operational wing mirrors and cooled glove-box for added comfort.
The higher one i.e. Sportz carry forward this bliss with safety features namely rear parking sensors with rear parking camera, driver airbag, ABS, front fog lamps, impact-sensed auto door unlocking system, defogger at rear with timer, turn indicator engulfed side indicator, seatbelt pretensioners for front, leather on steering wheel and gear-knob, height adjustable system for driver seat, and also the electric as well automatically operated rear mirrors.
In the optional Sportz (O) trims the Korean carmaker had added push start button and diamond cut alloys over the Sportz trim.
Now for the top-end Asta trim, customer are drawn to pay higher for the additional gimmicks like automatic headlamps, airbag for passenger, 60:40 splitting option for rear seat, wiper and washer for rear windscreen, adjustable headrests for rear passenger, and two 12V power outlets.
