Jeep Crossover Jeepster to debut in Geneva

The Jeep baby, which is often referred to as the Jeepster, is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in 2014. According to the reports, the car manufacturer has decided to stick to the name Jeepster. The car will be launched globally by 2015.

As per the information available on the internet, Jeepster as a name had been first used by a dealer around 1950s for an Overland model.

The car is mostly based on the Fiat 500X. The car will feature five doors and will be available with the option of front wheel drive as well as four-wheel drive. Jeepster is said to make its entry in the Indian market by 2015. Customers will also have the option of choosing between the diesel variant and the petrol variant. Jeepster crossover is expected to give a tough competition to all B segment SUVs. The production of the car is said to start by the end of next year at the Melfi plan and will be globally available by 2015. In case of India, the car will be produced at Chrysler’s R7D centre.
