Bluebytes News Private Ltd has disclosed the inaugural issue of its Reputation Benchmark Study for the Auto (Cars) Sector in Mumbai last week. The study ranked Maruti Suzuki, the already dominator of auto market in India, as the Most Reputed Car Company. Meanwhile, Mahindra XUV500, the flagship SUV of auto-giant Mahindra, was regarded as the Most Reputed Car Brand in India.
Bluebytes News Private Ltd. or bluebytes is India’s leading news research agency. It performed the intense study on Auto industry in India and launched the inaugural issue of its Reputation Benchmark Study for the Auto Sector in the city last Wednesday.
This was no random pick. The company did an intense study of around 11,000 hours, which included analysis of 75,000 news articles in English and Hindi. Performed between October 2011 to March 2012, the study was purely on automobile industry of the country in past six months.
Looking at the charts, there is a 26 per cent drop between the ranking scores of the first three automobile companies. In addition, there is a single digit difference between the third (Tata Motors) and fourth (Hyundai) ranked auto manufacturer. While a huge 48 per cent drop is seen between the luxury automobile manufacturer ranked fifth (Audi) and sixth (Mercedes).
Following Mahindra XUV500 in the list of most reputed Indian car brand is Tata Nano and Maruti Swift Dzire.

Mahindra XUV500 was chosen as the most reputed car from a list of 200 different models from 19 different car manufacturers. Following the Mahindra XUV500 is the Tata Nano, ranked second most Reputed car model in India, followed by Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire on third position.
