Maruti Suzuki has recently updated their official website of Ritz that boasts of an upcoming Ritz automatic variant. This is a good indication that company might be considering to reveal the new automatic variant within few days. Maruti has already revealed Ritz facelift version of its diesel model 2 months ago and petrol varient is still on the verge. The automatic version of the Ritz will be available only with the Vxi petrol version and will be powered by the same 1.2 litre K-series engine that will be couple with the 4 speed auto-gearbox. This is the same transmission that is currently being used in the Maruti Suzuki A-Star and Swift Dzire.
The Ritz automatic will be delivering about 83bhp of power along with 114 Nm of peak torque. Maruti claims of fuel economy of about 17.16 kmpl, which quite remarkable as the manual version delivers about 18.5 kmpl. What we now see suggests that the rest of the car is similar to the Ritz Vxi manual version.
The car will be available in three different colors namely Breeze Blue, Granite Grey and Mystique Red. Since the car has yet not been released officially, Ritz automatic price is still under the shades but still we presume that it be costing somewhere around Rs. 50,000 to 52,000 more than the manual version. But the official confirmation has yet not been revealed.
