Mercedes-Benz CLS 250CDI Facelift Launched In India For Rs 76.5 Lakh

Nothing holds back the spirit of Mercedes-Benz India for ranking on the top position in this country. Some days earlier, it was the 2015 A-Class and B-Class facelift that made debut with minute but noteworthy changes. Now, the company has rolled out CLS 250CDI coupe in India for attending a wider sect of audience with its stench. Priced at Rs 76.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), this coupe is based on the facelift model, but a remarkable implementation in its selling option is the new engine at the engine bay. A 2.2-litre diesel block of 204bhp and 500Nm of torque sends power to the rear wheels, pushing its limit to 100kmph from zero in 7.5 seconds via a 7-speed auto transmission; the same motor is planted in A-Class, B-Class, E-Class and ML250. Earlier, the CLS in India was available with a V6 petrol reasoning it for unfeasible to cater buyers in this sky-rocketing times of fuel prices.

On the new course of styling, one can clearly spot the A-Class like front grille with diamond studs, new alloy wheels and tail lamps. Inside the cabin, eight airbags are given considering the height of safety this level of buyers demand.

And for the first time in India, Mercedes-Benz India introduced Cloud based apps with CLS 250CDI, namely radio, Facebook and Twitter. Soon those apps too may get available on cars which have a COMMAND system.

Hence, CLS facelift arrives in India as CBU (completely built units) – the reason it attracts more import duties that leverages the thought why it is so steeply priced. Obviously, the competition already exists for it with regards to BMW 6-Series Gran Coupe and Audi A7.
