An average onlooker ambitiously looks to a two-seater sports car when find it across the road. Audi knows very well how to entice such audience with its cars, and TT a one of them, is now launched with a new face in India.

The German carmaker has launched the new TT for a price of Rs 60.34 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi and Mumbai), which is the third generation of its model plate.

This time, the resurrection on TT hadn’t brought a slice of change, like its competitor BMW Z4 facelift. Technically speaking, this two-seater sports machine also holds a new platform (chassis) underneath the freshly sculpted tight skin. The said technical advancement had shaved off the weight by 50 kg from this new model.

Right now, Audi offers TT only in coupe form with 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine of 230bhp and 350Nm of torque mated to a six-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch DSG transmission. The traction is transferred to all wheels via Audi’s very own Quattro AWD system. The car holds nomenclature of 45 TFSI. Reportedly, the drivetrain clocks it to reach 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds and hit the top-speed of 250km/h.

Going by the official notes of Audi, the maker has approached TT offering the seating arrangement of 2+2. As per to us, it’s better only two (driver and a co-passenger) shall make way to the cabin for a comfortable experience. The raked sloping roof of the coupe doesn’t permit generous headroom inside, but offers the thrilling excitement behind the steering with its agile dynamics.

On outer, designers have worked on the new LED headlights, enhanced air intakes, infused the tail lights wit dynamic indicators, refurbished the rear bumper, and also tweaked the exhausts.

Moved inside, the cabin of new TT has got a fresh story to tell. The turbine like air vents which also embeds the temperature and flow control rotary knob grabs the attention first. The 12.3-inch infotainment touch screen also doubles as navigation display. The 18-inch alloy wheels, adjustable suspension also makes way to the list.

However, new TT has turned costlier with the 2015 avatar as compared to its older sibling. Now, it is sufficed and well-equipped to take on the competition from the BMW Z4 and Mercedes-Benz SLK.
