Nissan India has decided to make entry in the compact sport utility vehicle section with their edition of the Renault Duster nicknamed the Terrano.
The well known Japanese auto manufacturer published a rough copy few weeks ago and now here are the initial images of the vehicle’s test mule from the city of Chennai.
The compact sport utility vehicle stays devoted to the rough draft rolled out by the company as part of the online drive.
The vehicle obtains the well-known honeycomb framework and a distinctive headlamp design.
Whilst the Renault Duster shows off well-known, rounded wheel arches, the Terrano has preferred straighter lines to delineate its wheel arches.
The insides and the rear lamp cluster get altered – the AC vents are angular substituting the round ones in the Duster, whilst the stoplights have shifted to the bottom.
The spy shots disclose that the company has taken a noteworthy attempt in identifying the compact sport utility vehicle from its Renault sib unlike in the case of the Micra as well as the Sunny.
Nissan Terrano is likely to be introduced by the month of September and in all possibilities will be catered by the identical set of engines detected in the Duster; a 1.6-litre petrol, which creates 102 PS and 145Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre diesel, which is obtainable with a yield of 85PS and 200Nm or 110PS and 245Nm.
The Terrano will become the 4th Nissan vehicle to be made at the Oragadam plant, and will be valued more than the Renault Duster because of the terms of sharing amongst both makers.
But, Franco-Japanese group will have to reassess the total pricing approach to maintain against the shock valuation of the Ford Ecosport.
