Nissan’s much awaited Evalia to be rolled out in August

Increment in excise duty and petrol price and overall economic slowdown over the past few months have actually hindered the Indian auto industry. Previously, the country registered tremendous growth in the first quarter of the year, especially during February and March to be precise. Nissan Evalia was unveiled at the Delhi Auto Expo 2012. The light commercial vehicle was earlier codenamed as NV200. Nissan’s New generation Vehicle (NV200)has been reported to be a threat for many MPVs and MUVs, including Toyota Innova and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. Although Ertiga is being reported to do tremendously well in the market, it is being anticipated that it will too have to face the heat of Nissan’s upcoming Evalia. The sensational light commercial vehicle is expected to be launched in the month of August this year.

Under the hood, Nissan Evalia will feature the same engine as those induced in Nissan Micra, Sunny, Fluence and many Renault Nissan vehicles, which is the 1.5L dCi engine that churns out a peak power of 85bhp. The power generated by the Evalia powerhouse is equivalent to that of the Ertiga’s engine. But when it comes to the space-factor, the upcoming Evalia leaves many existing MPVs behind and scores distinguished ratings.

The price tag of the car gives it a complete edge over other MPVs. The company is being speculated to put a price tag of Rs.8-10 lakh for the Evalia.
