Going to launch in India on 3rd September 2013, BMW 1 Series is set to see the gleamed Indian faces very excitedly, as being expected by us so. However, 1 Series will rival Mercedes Benz A Class very strongly in India, as both of them being carried in the hatchback segment.
Pricing of BMW 1 Series is expected to be slotted in between Rs 22-24 lakh.
BMW had already started accepting the booking of same, where the first 100 customers will get BMW Service Inclusive Plus (a comprehensive maintenance package) as a complimentary feature with the car.
As it will be more or less similar to that of the Mercedes Benz A Class, the engine bay will carry the specifications of 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol motor producing 136bhp and 220Nm of torque. The diesel badge is said to be of the 2.0L make, producing 143bhp and 320Nm of torque at the best. And eight speed manual transmission to be there married with both of the drivetrain.
There are expectations in the market that petrol version of 1 Series will be called with the ARAI tested fuel efficiency of 16.28km/l, where on the other side diesel jag to conclude certified 20.58km/l. as per our official road testing authority.
