Tata Motors launches the all new Tata XENON XT in South Africa

The Tata Xenon XT is packed with extra features in all aspects – performance, safety, comfort, style and functionality – it is truly built to TAKE IT TO THE XTREME.

The Tata Xenon XT comes with impressive features that give it a competitive edge amongst other lifestyle bakkie options in the South African market. The Tata Xenon XT range comes in 4 variants – Single Cab (4X4), Single Cab (4X2), Double Cab (4X2) and Double Cab (4X4). The range has a perfect blend of looks, safety, comfort, convenience and performance thanks to its state-of-the-art European styling; features like navigation, Bluetooth, dual airbags, ABS, differential lock (double cabs), and limited slip differential (single cabs). The Tata Xenon XT’s common rail diesel engine deliver high power and torque providing overall performance of an efficient work-horse.

The Tata Xenon XT is packed with XTreme Technology. It is powered by a new generation 2.2L VTT DiCOR (Variable Turbine Technology, Direct Injection Common Rail) engine that is controlled by a 32-bit electronic control unit and incorporates state-of-the-art technology. This is the same Euro V engine that powers the Xenon range across the world. This engine has been fine-tuned to meet domestic Euro II requirements. The new engine delivers an incredible peak power of 110 kW @ 4000 rpm and peak torque of 320 Nm over a wide rpm range of 1500 – 3000.

Tata Xenon XT has been designed not only for extreme performance but also to give a comfortable driving experience with low NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness). With electric windows, power steering, navigation, Bluetooth, radio, MP3, side steps, bucket seats with armrests, tiltable steering column etc. The Tata Xenon XT is truly a resort on wheels.

With the 5 yrs/ 90 000 km service plan, 4 yrs/120 000 km vehicle warranty, 4 yrs/120 000 km anti-corrosion warranty & 4 yrs, unlimited km roadside assistance, the Tata Xenon XT offers complete peace of mind. With this launch, Tata Motors will also increase its service initiatives. The company will increase the warranty from 3 years/ 100000 km to 4 years/ 120 000 km and roadside assistance from 3 years/ unlimited kms to 4 years/ unlimited kms.

With the addition of the Xenon XT range, Tata Motors now boasts of an impressive bakkie portfolio catering to every discerning need of the South African automotive market and suiting every consumer segment. The company’s portfolio comprises of Super ACE (1T mini truck), 207 DI turbo (3.0L worker), the existing Xenon range with eleven variants and the newly launched Xenon XT range with four variants.
