The new face of Dacia Duster will be unveiled at Frankfurt Motor Show

Dacia Duster is soon going to receive a facelift. It has been stated that the New Dacia Duster will be unveiled at the event of Frankfurt motor show which will be held in September this year. It has been reported that the new or face lifted model is already under test drives. The upgraded car is said to be better both technically and in appearance.

Automobile Dacia S.A. was initially a Romanian company found in the year 1966. In the year 1999, Renault bought Dacia to capture Romanian market. Renault is a French company dealing in automobiles. At present, Dacia works as a subsidiary of Renault group.

Dacia launched Dacia Duster or Renault Duster in the year 2010 in Europe. It is a compact SUV on a B platform. This is basically a 5 door Wagon. It has a front engine but offers a choice of front wheel or all wheel drive. The 4 wheel drive variant offers 3 driving modes. The technology used here is borrowed from Nissan’s 4 wheel drive system. The luggage capacity is of 475 litres but can be extended to over 1500 litres.

Facelifted Dacia Duster

The new Duster has been redesigned to give it a more energetic look. The modifications include new head and tail lights, redesigned bumpers and grille. The interiors have been redesigned keeping in mind the Dacia Logan Sedan. The upgraded vehicle was spotted test driving some 5 months ago and seemed to have better controls.

The engine remains unchanged in the face lifted model. The petrol variant has a fuel tank capacity of 1.6 litres producing a power of 102 PS and maximum torque of 145 Nm. The diesel variant has a K9K engine with the fuel tank capacity of 1.5 litres. It offers two outputs of 110 PS and 85 PS. There is a manual 5 speed gear box and a 4 speed auto transmission which might be replaced with a better one.

After the unveiling of the new model in September, the production will commence by the end of the year. New Dacia Duster will enter into the Indian market in the next year.
